Please support your local volunteer ambulance service. EAVES will be holding a fund raiser on Saturday September 23 from 3pm to 7 pm at the DeWitt Community Room on Sanders Creek parkway.
EAVES wishes to thank Senator DeFrancisco for obtaining $50,000, The Central New York Community Foundation for $25,000, The Reisman Foundation for $20,000, and Bristol Myers Squibb for $5,000 in funding towards the construction of a new facility.

It is with a great deal of sadness that we announce the passing of one of our founding members. Ron Russell Jr. was instrumental in the formation of our organization in 1973. His many years of public service and dedication to the East Syracuse community will never be forgotten. May he rest in peace.
Once again EAVES provided the EMS coverage for the ESFD Annual Burn Run held on Sunday November 11, 2012. All 3 ambulances were placed in service with Paramedics, an ALS Squad, and BLS bike team roamed the course in the event of an emergency. A total of 14 EAVES personnel came out to support the ESFD in this annual event.

As has been the tradition for years now, EAVES members were on hand for the Town of Dewitt's "Canal Days". Canal Days is a fantastic family fun day that features performers, carnival games for kids, great food and information about different town services. Bill Lewis Sr. has been an member of the East Syracuse Fire Department for 75 years. This accomplishment is rare to say the least. Tonight, the officers and members of the East Syracuse Fire Department organized a special tribute to Bill as he was officially entered into the "Retired" roles at the fire department.
